Mesotherapy involves a simple series of injections which help break down unwanted small localized areas of fat. This process of breaking down body fat is referred to as lipolysis. This method of spot fat reduction by injecting solutions into the skin is incorporated in many name-recognized procedures. How long does mesotherapy last? With a course of 4-6 mesotherapy treatments, patients can expect results to last 12 to 18 months after the recommended course of treatment is completed. For optimal results, we recommend patients continue treatments in order to maintain their desired appearance. You’ll probably need several mesotherapy sessions to get the desired effect. You should expect to return to the doctor between 3 to 15 times. At first, you’ll get the injections every 7 to 10 days. If your skin starts to improve, the treatments will be stretched out to once every two weeks or once a month. What to avoid after treatments Hot tubs, saunas, Jacuzzis, and massages are NOT recommended for 48 hours after treatment. AFTER 48 hours, hot baths or showers are recommended to assist in the healing. Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, sauna or heat for about two weeks after undergoing this procedure.
